The title of UNESCO Creative City recognizes territories that use creativity as a strategic factor for sustainable, urban, economic, social, and cultural development. The Brazilian cities in the network commit to strengthening cultural production, fostering innovation, expanding access to culture, and integrating creativity into local development plans.
The Brazilian Network is composed of 15 cities, each specialized in a creative field, such as design, gastronomy, music, film, literature, crafts, and media arts. This label enhances the capacity of these cities to generate employment, social inclusion, creative tourism, and synergies in the creative economy, positioning Brazil on the global stage of cultural innovation.

The Brazilian Network of Creative Cities (RBCC) is a platform that connects the Brazilian cities recognized by UNESCO. Officially established in 2022 by the Ministry of Tourism, the RBCC promotes cooperation among these cities, fostering the creative economy as a driver for sustainable urban and tourism development. The network encourages entrepreneurship based on creativity, culture, and technology, strengthening local productive chains and expanding opportunities for business, work, and income. Inspired by the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, the RBCC seeks to transform creativity into a competitive differential for Brazilian cities and contribute positively to social and territorial development.
The Instituto da Associação Comercial do Distrito Federal (ACDF Institute) is a private, non-profit civil society organization, created on June 15, 1998, whose main objective is to develop actions for the benefit of its members linked to various economic sectors in the Federal District, Brazil, and abroad. Its mission is to support the Commercial Association of the Federal District (ACDF) and its members in economic and professional development, collectively defending their rights before public authorities. The Institute is guided by values such as ethics, transparency, social responsibility, sustainability, innovation, and creativity, and is in the process of strategic review to better meet current demands.
Since 2023, the ACDF Institute maintains the Design and Creative Economy Council, which seeks to strengthen commercial relations between designers, members, and the local population, promoting innovation and creating business opportunities. This council has been working intensely to consolidate the endorsement of "Brasília Creative City of Design by UNESCO" as an asset for the city, boosting cultural and economic development in the region.
